The Local Area

The house is located close to Tuebrook which is in close vicinity to all road and rail networks to allow for friends, family and contact visits and giving easy access to the city centre, beaches, and the countryside. There is a local shopping area providing a wide range of shops where there is a weekly market.

It is also only a short walk to Newsham Park where there are fishing lakes, open spaces for recreational games, tennis courts and a swing park.

In addition to what we are able to offer here at Kremlin Care, we are in a position to hire one of the local sports halls with all its facilities.

This enables us to pursue activities such as full size Trampolining, Soft Tennis, Table Tennis, Basketball, Netball, Indoor Football, Badminton and Volleyball. Every encouragement is given to all of our young people to join in, but in no instance is it compulsory.

In addition to this, those of our young people who are interested, are encouraged and taught to make use of local community facilities, e.g. Swimming Pools, Cinemas, Youth Clubs and Libraries, this is of particular value to those children or young persons who have no experience of using such amenities, and it helps widen their horizons and develop a degree of independence.

Children and young people will meet with staff regularly in a group situation, to plan activities and make their views known. Supervised and unsupervised activities take into account the safety of children at all times and risk assessed.

Any high risk activity provided or arranged for young people, will be risk assessed and permission sought from the placing authority and parent(s) if appropriate and must be supervised by member of staff.close by there is also a selection of cross denomination places of worship. In addition to this, there are a number of schools in the vicinity.
